Rodney is "the guy", it's what many of his friends and clients refer to him as. If you want something done or a referral to someone who can get things done, just call Rodney. Educated as an engineer, Rodney has spent the last eight years with Sutton Group - Tower Realty Ltd. and Century 21 Regal Realty Inc. in Toronto. Walking down the street he is often stopped by neighbours with a hearty hello as he is well known through his involvement in the community from leading a dance club for young children, to participating in the residency association, to helping out at the organic community Everdale. His objective of starting Buyingblock.com was to make people's lives simpler freeing up time to participate in their passions. When not on his sailboat, Rodney can be found playing in his front yard with his kids.

With a BA from the University of Western in English and Philosophy and with experience in media writing, Michael initially worked in film and television production out of school. His interest in the mortgage industry started when his father's private mortgage business started getting busy and he saw how the mortgage industry was maturing. Yes, it's a big jump from film and television production to mortgages, but he figured it'll be a good fit and liked the idea of working for a small organization driven by the right ideals as well as the flexibility of self employment. Michael began his new career with Mortgage Intelligence and is an Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) with now over a decade of experience in the mortgage industry. He is presently a member of the Business Networking International and a Board Member with the Toronto Ultimate Club. scott henson

 

Born and raised in Toronto to parents who emigrated from South Africa, Scott studied biology at the University of Western Ontario and operated his own business for a number of years after graduation. Scott decided on a career change and graduated from the Financial Services Underwriting Program at Seneca College in 2007. This post graduate certificate program was devoted to the mortgage industry allowing Scott to gain necessary insight into the increasingly complex mortgage world. Scott received two outstanding academic achievement awards while studying at Seneca. He had been working with Michael at Mortgage Intelligence and decided to join Buyingblock.com. Away from work, Scott loves spending time with his wife and getting lost in Algonquin Park.

Born and raised in Toronto to Portuguese parents, Gina is married to a graphic designer and has two young sons. Currently living in Nobleton, Gina has experience in home building as well. Gina is experienced in the mortgage world having been a senior mortgage specialist (underwriter) at First National for seven years before joining Buyingblock.com. When not working, you can find Gina outdoors at her parent's cottage, playing beach volleyball, shopping, at an amusement park or watching superhero/fantasy movies.
 
Kevin Golding

 

Kevin has a long and successful resume working with major advertising and media companies. He brings that knowledge to the mortgage industry and uses his negotiating skills to garner his clients the best possible deals. Kevin holds an MBA in Business from the Edinburgh Business School, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto. In his spare time, Kevin coaches in the Royal York Baseball League, is an avid golfer, and spends quality time with his wife Susan and their daughter.

Sean enjoys traveling which allows him to appreciate different architectures, cities, geographies, people and cultures. He was a banker for more than 19 years but had decided to pursue his passion in real estate and become a real estate agent. His real estate investing and banking experience have convinced him that real estate(s) should be everyone’s core investment in the wealth creation and preservation process. In his previous capacity as a financial planner for a leading bank, he had observed that a client’s best interest may not be well served through a bank. He had decided to become a mortgage agent to help fill up this critical service gap to help consumers build and meet their real estate goals. The fact that a mortgage is perhaps the biggest debt and commitment for an average person, it is critical that a borrower obtains an objective advice and a suitable deal that is tailor-made to his/her need and situation.
